Fraud is an act of deception intended for personal gain or to cause loss to another party.

On this page we will keep you updated about the latest types of scams affecting Direct Line Group and its brands. 

Direct Line Group Bond Fraud

We are aware of potentially fraudulent activity where members of the public have been contacted and asked to invest in our bonds.

We never contact people to sell bonds. If you are contacted by anyone asking you to invest in our bonds we encourage you to report this to Action Fraud, the UK’s national fraud and cyber reporting centre. If you have any further questions or concerns then please email our Investor Relations team. 

 

Insurance Premium refunds

We have been made aware of potentially fraudulent activity in relation home and motor insurance premium refunds.

Since January 2021 a small number of customers were sold policies where the premium was higher than it should have been. We're working to identify everyone affected.

Customers don't need to contact us. We will directly contact those affected to put things right. If you are contacted by anyone offering to assist with this process, we encourage you to report this to Action Fraud,  the UK’s national fraud and cyber reporting centre.
