Direct Line Group introduces new company wide lifestyle and family policies

From Thursday 26th July 2018, employees at Direct Line Group will benefit from a package of new policies developed to give every one of our employees the flexibility and support at work to do the things that matter to them outside of work.  

The new policies launched today include:

  • Maternity/Adoption Leave which will offer up to 32 weeks maternity pay, made up of 20 weeks full maternity pay and up to a further 12 weeks full pay as part of a ‘phased return to work’. The phased return to work is designed to offer maximum support to enable our people to transition back into work at a pace which works for them and their family
  • Shared Parental Leave which will offer co-parents 20 weeks full pay
  • Parental Leave extended to include Grandparents and Carers which will offer up to four weeks unpaid leave per child, grandchild, relative or someone close who needs support, recognising the increasing reliance on wider family responsibilities
  • Lifestyle Leave which will offer up to 12 months to anyone wishing to pursue something that really matters to them such as volunteering, travelling, extending maternity leave or re-training
