Paul Geddes, Chief Executive Officer

Paul was appointed as Chief Executive of the Company in August 2009. Prior to his move to the Company, Paul was the chief executive officer of the RBS Group’s mainland UK retail banking business, having joined that business in 2004 as managing director with responsibility for products and marketing. Before joining the RBS Group, Paul held a number of senior roles in multi-channel retailing in the GUS and Kingfisher groups. Paul started his career in marketing with Procter & Gamble in UK and European roles. Paul read politics, philosophy and economics at Oxford, graduating in 1990, and remains a supporter of his college through music scholarships. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland, a member of the ABI Board, a member of the Financial Ombudsman Service’s insurance industry steering group and a member of the FCA Practitioner Panel (formerly the FSA Practitioner Panel).

John Reizenstein, Chief Financial Officer

John was previously an Executive Director at the Co-operative Insurance Society, CIS General Insurance and The Co-operative Bank. He was Chief Financial Officer of these businesses between 2003 and 2007, and subsequently Managing Director, Corporate and Markets. Prior to that, John spent more than 20 years in investment banking with UBS and Goldman Sachs. John is an Economics graduate of the University of Cambridge. John is 57.

Mike Holliday-Williams, Managing Director Personal Lines

Mike Holliday-Williams was appointed Managing Director of Personal Lines in March 2014. He joins from RSA Group, where he was most recently Chief Executive Officer of its Scandinavian operations. Before joining RSA, Mike worked in the energy, telecoms and retail sectors, beginning his career at WH Smith Limited, before subsequently moving to various Centrica owned businesses, including British Gas and Onetel. He has also served as Managing Director of MORE TH>N Ltd and holds an EMBA from Ashridge Business School.

Steve Maddock, Managing Director Claims and Business Services

Steve is responsible for the setting and operational delivery of the Group’s claims strategy. Prior to joining Direct Line Group in 2010, Steve spent six years as the director of strategic and technical claims at RSA. He has also held senior management positions at Capita and AMP.

Darrell Evans, Chief Customer Officer

Darrell began his career with NatWest in 1986 and undertook a variety of strategy, finance, marketing and product management roles. He later became a director of RBS products and assumed responsibility for all RBS mortgage brands and the retail telephony centres. Darrell joined Direct Line Group in 2009.

Jonathan Greenwood, Managing Director Commercial

Jon joined the Group in 2000 as product and pricing director for UK Partnerships, which included Tesco, BMW and Nationwide Building Society. Following the acquisition of Churchill, Jon became commercial director and then managing director of the Group’s household and life businesses. Jon became managing director of commercial in 2009.

Jamie Brown, Managing Director International

Jamie began his career as a chartered accountant before joining AIG as an internal auditor. He then held senior finance positions with Alico London and Wembley Plc, before joining Churchill Insurance as business development director. Jamie joined Direct Line Group in 1997 in the Direct Line Rescue and Motor business; in 2001 he became Managing Director of Direct Line Italy and, in 2011 Managing Director International.

Humphrey Tomlinson, General Counsel

Humphrey has more than 20 years' experience advising on corporate and commercial matters, legal risk management and corporate governance issues, both with RSA and prior to that with City law firm Ashurst Morris Crisp. His experience includes a wide range of transactions, including IPOs, mergers and joint ventures.

Jose Vazquez, Chief Risk Officer

Jose joined Direct Line Group in 2012 from HSBC Insurance Holdings, where he held the position of global chief risk officer. Jose has previously held senior actuarial roles at Zurich Financial services and has also worked as a consultant at KPMG.

Sara Gomez, HR Director

Sara joined Direct Line Group in 2007 and has held a number of leadership roles within the DLG HR team culminating in a move to HR Director during 2013. Sara has experience across a range of industries; working for Marks & Spencer, TUI travel and RBS, starting her career in Commercial Management, progressing through Learning & Development and into generalist HR six years ago.

Angela Morrison, Chief Information Officer

Angela became CIO in 2010 and is responsible for shaping and building Direct Line Group's strategic change and running its technology. Prior to this Angela spent more than 18 years in food retailing and IT where she had a number of director roles, including establishing ASDA’s home grocery business, being CIO during the transition of systems from ASDA to Wal-Mart and latterly being a member of J Sainsbury's Operating Board. Angela has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol.
